Relationships over Rules. Always.

Homeschooling

A Good Place to Begin

These four articles are a solid introduction to the heart of Victory at Home.

My Philosophy

Why This Place Exists

I started Victory at Home because I kept having the same conversations with parents who loved their family deeply but felt overwhelmed, discouraged, or like they were constantly falling short of some invisible standard.

That breaks my heart.

Because I don’t believe that’s what God intends for families. I believe ordinary families, walking faithfully with Jesus, can build homes full of peace, laughter, wisdom, strong relationships, and children who grow up knowing they are deeply loved by their parents and their Heavenly Father.

Not perfect homes. Flourishing ones.

I’m not writing because I have all the answers. I’m writing because God has been incredibly faithful to teach me over the years—sometimes gently, sometimes through very hard lessons—and I want to share those lessons in the hope that they encourage your family too, and maybe even save you some heartache.

Everything you’ll find here is filtered through a few simple convictions: God is good. His Word is true. Family is God’s design for carrying out His redemptive work from one generation to the next. And His design always leads to life, even when it isn’t the easiest path.

Our family has homeschooled, private schooled, and public schooled over the years. While I believe homeschooling is a wonderful option for many families, I also know that every child, every family, and every season is different. My desire isn’t to convince you to copy our family. It’s to encourage you to faithfully follow God as you lead your own.

This is a place for biblical encouragement, practical wisdom, and honest conversation.

Grace and truth. Hope over shame. Progress over perfection. Relationship over rules.

Because helping families flourish has never been about getting everything right. It’s about walking faithfully with Jesus, stewarding the family He gave you, and pointing them to Him, one ordinary day at a time.

So you can Win Where it Matters Most.
